What can you achieve with the AnnounceKit Changelog?
What will you find in your AnnounceKit changelog?
1) Your posts section: This is where your project posts will be held. Here, you will find updates, announcements, and other important project information.
2) Search options for your users to find posts: This feature allows your users to easily find posts that are relevant to what they are looking for.
3) Feature Request button: (if enabled) Each user will have the ability to submit their suggestions right from the changelog. This helps you keep track of all the feature requests you receive from your users.
4) Roadmap section of your project: (if enabled) This area will give you visibility into your project timeline. You can see what features you’re working on and when they’ll be released. You can also share this with your users.
5) Multi-language toggle and subscription box: (if enabled) If you’re offering multiple languages, your users can switch back and forth between each one. Also, they will have the option to sign up for email, Slack and RSS notifications.
6) Feedback section: (if enabled) This is where your users can submit their feedback for your project. You will also be able to monitor the conversation and see your user's reactions.
How to create and customize your changelog?
By default, your changelog page will be public and ready the moment you sign up.
By going to your changelog settings, you can change the following settings:
Your changelog's title and description (only visible with Full and Medium feed styles)
Setup a custom hostname (available in the Scale plan)
Disable your changelog
Display segmented posts publicly
By default, your segmented posts will be visible for your target users.
For example, if you create a post targeted at your Admin users, only they will see that specific post.
With this option enabled, all of your posts will be visible to all of your users, regardless of their segmentation.Redirect based on browser language
If your project has multiple languages implemented, you can have your changelog redirect users based on their browser's language.Custom Javascript / CSS
You can insert custom JavaScript in your changelog for things like tracking codes, chatbots, and custom CSS to customize the user experience. You can only use the <script> and <style>tags.
Please note that you must have a custom hostname to use the <script> tag.
